The people behind the work.

We are small and technical by design. The scientist who scopes your project is the one who runs it.

NovoFy’s founders bring 30+ years of combined protein engineering experience from Amgen, Gilead, and BioGlyph, with a focus on GPCRs, multispecific antibodies, and other hard targets.

Our Scientific Advisory Board adds experience scaling AI at Google DeepMind and advancing drugs from discovery into late-stage clinical development.

Founders

Fernando Garces, PhD

Fernando Garces, PhD

Co-founder and CEO.

Fernando Garces, PhD, CEO and Co-founder of NovoFy, is a biotech entrepreneur and protein engineering expert with 20+ years of experience spanning academia, biopharma, and AI-driven drug discovery.

He earned his PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Barcelona and conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Cancer Research and The Scripps Research Institute, where he focused on oncology targets and structure-guided protein design for HIV-1 vaccines. He subsequently held scientific and leadership roles at Amgen, Gilead, and BioMap, advancing next-generation biologics and computational protein design.

Fernando previously founded and led BioGlyph, securing strategic partnerships with Gilead and Johnson & Johnson, and now leads NovoFy, where he is building AI-powered technologies for scalable protein design. He is an inventor on 20+ patents, author of 35+ peer-reviewed publications, and recipient of the Scripps CHAVI-ID Young Investigator Award.

Daniel Keri, PhD

Daniel Keri, PhD

Co-founder and CTO. NovoFlow lead.

Daniel holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Bioengineering from EPFL and brings more than 10 years of experience at the intersection of protein engineering, computational design, and wet-lab validation. He has led multidisciplinary programs spanning protein discovery, engineering, optimization, and developability across multiple biologic modalities, with scientific and technical roles at Gilead Sciences and BioGlyph.

His expertise includes challenging protein targets and engineered biologics, with a particular focus on GPCRs, multispecific antibodies, and other complex protein modalities. During his doctoral research, Daniel studied hard-to-target GPCRs, developing expertise in protein structure, molecular recognition, and engineering.

At NovoFy, Daniel leads the development of NovoFlow, integrating ML-based models with physics-based approaches to design novel, bespoke protein binders.
